Davis Instruments released the EnviroMonitor system to help growers measure, monitor and manage vital weather data. The expandable platform works with the most widely used farm sensors. The system is controlled through a smart device app that also provides customized text and email alerts as well as the means to download or share data.

Della Toffola unveiled the DTX machine that employs cation exchange resins to provide tartaric stability in wine and juice. According to the supplier, the resins are copolymers of styrene and divinylbenzene containing sulphuric acid.

Erblsöh introduced Oenoferm LA-HOG, which is a GMO-free yeast developed for red or white wines that are made with high sugar content. The yeast creates up to 1% less alcohol and more glycerine compared to other yeast strains. The supplier reports added glycerine rather than alcohol provides more body and softness while suppressing astringent flavors and boosting aromas.

PDC International Corporation introduced its Monoblock shrinksealer that is the latest addition to the company’s 75 series of shrinksealers. The machine features a neck band applicator, conveyor, inspection system, line sensors and shrink tunnel in one integrated unit. The shrinksealer can accommodate nearly any product shape and is compatible with all major sleeving films.

Scott Laboratories is now offering the Armbruster Grapesort optical sorter machine. The Grapesort is the latest addition to Armbruster’s portfolio and is designed to eject material other than grapes as well as improve wine quality through sorting based on multiple criteria.

Wine Quality Solutions, which is a brand of Vinventions that also owns the closure company Nomacorc, released an updated version of its oxygen analyzer. The NomaSense PolyScan P200 features an enhanced display and touch screen control and is portable and can operate autonomously.
