Peregrine Mobile Bottling launched a new service to help winery clients manage oxygen and carbon dioxide gas levels in wine. The company uses a K+H Process Tech membrane skid with a hydrophobic membrane by Liqui-Cel/3M. The fully automated unit can lower the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide through a continuous, inline process without the need to warm or chill the wine.

VA Filtration USA introduced the Benchspotter, which is a laboratory scale unit that can run trials of multiple membrane processes to adjust wines. The device weighs 60 pounds and features a small footprint and detachable tank. The Benchspotter can be used to run trials for wine concentration, ultrafiltration, smoke taint removal, 4EP/4EG removal, pH adjustment and alcohol adjustment trials.

Lightweight Containers, which produces KeyKeg and UniKeg, launched OneCircle to collect used kegs and ensure they are diverted into the recycling stream. Since its launch a year ago, OneCircle has collected kegs used at festivals, created collection networks in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom and has programs ready to roll out soon in the U.S. and Asia.

PDC’s R-300 shrink sleeve can labeler can run at speeds of more than 300 cans per minute. According to the manufacturer, the R-300 is a mandrel-style machine that uses proprietary “blade technology,” which PDC describes as a more rugged alternative to “spinning knives” systems used in other shrink sleeve labelers.
