The device can accommodate 135 samples and 88 reagents per rotor and requires low amounts of reagent volume per test to enhance analysis efficiency.

AL&L Crop Solutions is now testing for the Grapevine Pinot Gris Virus, GPGV. The test can be added to an existing panel or run individually. The company uses polymerase chain reaction, PCR; real-time or quantitative PCR; enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay; microscopic examination and culturing to pinpoint the presence of several dozen viral, bacterial and fungal diseases.

Labeltronix expanded its finishing capabilities with a high build varnish for screen printed labels. Using a new, flatbed screen printing unit, the company reports it can print labels with ink that builds to a depth and thickness making lettering or an image “stand up and stand out with vibrant colors and a glossy look.

R.F. Macdonald is now offering the ITT Goulds i-Alert2 that monitors any rotating machine, such as a pump, and can detect operating abnormalities or defects. The device employs Bluetooth connectivity and sensors to monitor equipment, and if a machine does not operate within specifications the device can recommend repairs or other corrective actions based on a library of diagnostic information.

Scott Laboratories announced it can add digital printing to its ScottCap screw caps. The decorative touch is available on any of the company’s eight stock colors with a minimum order of 1,000 caps.

SparkleKlear is a closure designed to make producing sparkling wines easier. The SparkleKlear seals a bottle of base wine during secondary fermentation. When a bottle is ready for riddling, a user presses and releases a valve on the top of the cap and the collected sediment is shot out of the bottle.

The company is offering price and location data in the wine industry based on consumer searches as well as where wine is sold and retail pricing. The company is offering three kinds of reports that include a demand and competitors report, winery or producer report and producer association report.
