St. Francis buys Russian River vineyard
Santa Rosa, Calif.—St. Francis Winery & Vineyards acquired a 80-acre Chardonnay vineyard near Eastside Road in the Russian River Valley AVA. According to a press release announcing the acquisition, the winery plans to replant the property to additional varieties. St. Francis now owns four estate vineyards that includes another property in the Russian River Valley and two in Sonoma Valley. Zepponi & Company was the exclusive advisor to Silverado Investment Management Company, which sold the property to St. Francis. “This acquisition will assist in further solidifying the platform for our future growth opportunities. We look forward to continuing to invest in Sonoma County,” said St. Francis president and CEO Rick Bonitati in the statement announcing the deal.
