The Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance has appointed Duane Wollmuth as executive director. Wollmuth has experience in strategic leadership and business planning from Walla Walla Wines LLC in eastern Washington, and more recently he served as executive director of the Southeast Washington Economic Development Association. Enso goes urban in Portland
Enso Winery, a garagiste operation launched in 2010, has opened an urban artisan winery and tasting room in Portland, Ore. Enso’s 2011 release will consist of 475 cases with plans to more than double production for 2012. Current production includes a Pinot Gris from Oregon, a Malbec and a Zinfandel from Washington, a Mourvédre from the Sierra Foothills and a saignée rosé. Details: ensowinery.com.
