Dignitaries dedicate Sunshinemill
Oregon’s new 1,500-case Sunshinemill Winery, home to the single-serve Copa Di Vino wines (see “Too New to be Trendy, May 2010), held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in July. Owned by winemaker James Martin, the winery and tasting room are housed in a nine-story, 100-year-old former flour mill considered the gateway to The Dalles, beside the Columbia River. U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden and U.S. Congressman Greg Walden were special guests at the grand opening.

Lodging opens at Durant Vineyards
Stoneycrest Cottage, a two bedroom guest house, opened at Red Ridge Farm, home of 100-case Durant Vineyards, in the Willamette Valley’s Dayton, Ore. Red Ridge, home to the Oregon Olive Mill, also operates a guest suite on the property. Details: redridgefarms.com.
