Jowler Creek makes wine from sunshine
To offset energy use, 2,500-case Jowler Creek Winery, Platte City, Mo., installed a 5-kilowatt array of photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roof of its recently opened tasting room and wine production facility. Cromwell Environmental, Lawrence, Kan., completed the installation. The PV solar system is grid-tied and capable of selling electricity back to the utility company when more power is being produced than consumed. Visit: jowlercreek.com.
