Texas A&M's Ed Hellman honored
Lubbock, Texas—Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service viticulturist Dr. Ed Hellman received the Outstanding Extension Educator Award from the American Society for Horticultural Science at its annual meeting in August. Earlier this year, Hellman also received the T.V. Munson Award from the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association. Hellman has served on the board of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association and the group’s education committee for many years.The Outstanding Extension Educator Award is for being a national leader in viticulture extension. Hellman has served on the board of the National Grape and Wine Initiative for 10 years and chaired the group’s Extension and Outreach Educational Committee for several years.
