The 20,000-case Blasted Church Vineyards of Okanagan Falls, B.C., Canada, has appointed former Sumac Ridge winemaker Mark Wendenberg as successor to Richard Kanazawa, who left Blasted Church in March. Cowhorn combines with Upper Five
The 1,600-case Biodynamic-certified Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden in Applegate Valley, Ore., and Upper Five, a certified-organic vineyard, have partnered to produce a new wine under a cooperative label, Sullivansteele. The new label’s namesake comes from Terry Sullivan of Upper Five Vineyard and Bill and Barbara Steele of Cowhorn.
