New wine tour operator in Oregon

Adelsheim partners with design firm

Adelsheim Vineyard, Newberg, Ore., has partnered with Flint Design Co., Portland, and plans to revitalize its 38-year-old brand with an image that honors its past and looks to the future. In 2008, Adelsheim built a new tasting room and expanded its fermentation space.

Washington’s online tax system a hit

The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) announced that more than 1,000 vendors are using its Online Tax Reporting and Payment System. The system allows all wineries, breweries and Washington retailers to file monthly summary tax reports and make tax payments at liq.wa.gov. Wine Center opens in McMinnville

Oregon’s Willamette Valley Vineyards (WVV) opened a satellite, the Willamette Valley Vineyards Wine Center, in downtown McMinnville to serve as an informational hub for the local wine community. It features concierge staff to help visitors with tour routes and reservations. Tastings and educational displays are designed to “spread the gospel of Oregon Pinot Noir through collaboration with our fellow winemakers,” according to WVV founder Jim Bernau.
