Lots of suggestions for Thanksgiving wines this week, with Eric Asimov reporting in the New York Times on the many and varied choices of the tasting panel, while Jon Bonne of the San Francisco Chronicle offers suggestions for the thrifty, the moderate, and those who splurge. In the Financial Times, columnist Jancis Robinson recounts a recent tasting where Pinot Noir wines from Germany were the standouts. And Laurie Daniel, writing in the San Jose Mercury News, finds much to like in Pinot Gris and Riesling wines from New Zealand recently tasted. JG
