Writing in the San Jose Mercury News, columnist Laurie Daniel offers extensive tasting notes this week on 2006 vintage Pinot Noir wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands. On the other coast, Wall Street Journal critics Gaiter and Brecher have lots of nice things to say about Barbera wines from Italy.
