In the San Francisco Chronicle, columnist Jon Bonne takes a look at the 2009 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Napa Valley, and finds much to like, with growing conditions and harvest reigning in the style for many. The Chronicle tasting panel provides notes on many of the Napa Valley 2009 Cabernet Sauvignons. In the Miami Herald, columnist Fred Tasker offers notes on rose wines from around the world. And wine blogger Blake Gray (The Gray Report) suggests many off-the-beaten track wines from Marin County, Mendocino County, and other California counties often overshadowed by Napa Valley. JG
